Homemade Ranch Dressing

Yeahhh people might think I’m nuts for making almost everything from scratch, but you know what tastes better than home-made? Nothin! And an added bonus is that its cheaper, healthier because you’re not adding a bunch of random chemicals to preserve it for shelf life, and depending on what it is, its usually surprisingly quick and easy.

Yes, I made ranch dressing. So easy. It has multiple uses, as a salad dressing, dressing for a sandwich/pita, or use it to dip raw vegetables in. I’m sure there are a ton more, let me know what you use ranch for!

Homemade Ranch Dressing

3/4 cup sour cream, good full fat stuff
1/4 cup whole milk
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chives (or green onions), chopped
a real nice grinding of pepper
salt to taste (about 1 tsp)

Stir or shake it all together in mason jar. Done!

If its too liquidy (some sour cream is thicker than others) add more sour cream, or try adding a bit of cream cheese (you might have to whisk the cheese into the dressing though). If you want it more liquid, add more milk and lemon juice.
